Signiture Saturday -1

Ok, So I am trying something new with this! So like I mentioned in previous entries, I just moved back home for the summer. I was going through some of my books yesterday and I found a signed copy of Killers of the Dawn by Darren Shan. I had forgotten all about it! My boyfriend last year had happened across it and, knowing that Darren Shan is my all time favorite author, bought it for me. I didn't bring it to school because I didn't want it stolen or anything like that, so I put it in its place (with all the other Cirque Du Freak books) on my shelf next to the non-signed copy of itself.

So! Does anyone have any stories of books that they have had signed? Memories? I know I personally love book signings. :)

  1. I have never been to a book signing before nor do I have any signed books. :( I know, sad right?

  2. Aww! I'm sorry. Authors rarely come to GA... and even if they do, its usually quite far away. I was lucky when Stephenie Meyer came and did her signing only 15 mins away from my house.

  3. Actually, I read a book that was published by a history professor I had in college. I bought a copy of it and managed to get it personally signed by him on the day of finals. He was an awesome professor - still love talking to him when I get the chance. I have quite a few other signed books, but that one is the one I most treasure.

  4. There is always that one book that is special to everyone. This is special to me, not only because it is signed by my very favorite author, but because of the situation in which it came to me.
