Waiting on Wednesday -7

Rampant by Diana Peterfreund

Release Date: August 25th, 2009

Publisher: Harper Teen

Forget everything you ever knew about unicorns . . .

Real unicorns are venomous, man-eating monsters with huge fangs and razor-sharp horns. Fortunately, they've been extinct for a hundred and fifty years.

Or not.

Astrid had always scoffed at her eccentric mother's stories about killer unicorns. But when one of the monsters attacks her boyfriend—thereby ruining any chance of him taking her to the prom—Astrid finds herself headed to Rome to train as a unicorn hunter at the ancient cloisters the hunters have used for centuries.

However, at the cloisters all is not what it seems. Outside, the unicorns wait to attack. And within, Astrid faces other, unexpected threats: from the crumbling, bone-covered walls that vibrate with a terrible power to the hidden agendas of her fellow hunters to—perhaps most dangerously of all—her growing attraction to a handsome art student . . . an attraction that could jeopardize everything.

This is one book I am extremely interested in. I've heard many good things about it, but I can't wait to read it for myself. Killer Unicorns? Ought to be interesting. x)

Waiting on Wednesday is brought to us by: Breaking The Spine.

  1. I still haven't decided if I want to read this or not. A lot of people seem to like it so I guess I might.

  2. I'm looking forward to this book (I loved her other series). Plus, killer unicorns...I think that sounds fun

  3. I'm so ready to jump on the unicorn bandwagon! (the zombie one is getting rather crowded) Hope it's as good as everyone says!

  4. Sigh. I've been waiting on this one every Wednesday for the last two years! 5 wednesdays left!

  5. I love this cover so much better than the old one. I still say the girl on the old cover looked like Dolly Parton.

Don't hesitate to tell me what you think! I appreciate all types of feedback, so don't be shy! ;)
